Hawaiʻi real estate law doesn't let us give gifts or rewards for referrals. So instead of a gift card, you get something we think means more: a personal thank-you from Joe and Junior, and our promise to take great care of the people you care about.
If you've bought or sold with us, you're already in the ʻOhana Circle for life, whether you ever refer anyone or not.
Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes §467-14(14) prohibits real estate licensees from compensating unlicensed persons for referring business, and the federal Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) limits referral payments as well. The O Team does not give money, gifts, or anything of value in exchange for referrals from unlicensed individuals. Referral fees are paid only to actively licensed real estate agents, broker to broker through eXp Realty, under a written referral agreement. ʻOhana Circle perks are for clients who buy or sell with The O Team and are never earned by referring.

PCS orders, a job transfer, or a move closer to ʻohana: we'll take care of your client from first call to closing and keep you posted the whole way.

How do I refer someone to The O Team?

Should I tell my friend before I refer them?
Yes, please. Let them know Joe or Junior will reach out by phone or email. We only text people who ask us to, and we never share their information.
Do you give gifts or rewards for referrals?
No. Hawaiʻi law doesn't allow real estate licensees to give money, gifts, or anything of value to unlicensed people for referring business. What we can give is a heartfelt personal thank-you and great care for the people you introduce. Past clients are part of the ʻOhana Circle whether they refer or not.
What if they're not ready to buy or sell yet?
That's completely fine. There's no pressure. We'll answer their questions, share helpful info when they want it, and stay in touch until the timing is right for them.
Can I refer someone who's moving off Oʻahu?
Yes. Through our ʻOhana Referral Network, we introduce friends and clients to trusted agents across the U.S., many of them LGBTQIA+-affirming and experienced with military moves.
